This policy explains how BDC TECH SOLUTIONS (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data in Find Me, including location. It applies to the iPhone apps, the website at bdc.solutions/findme, and the school portal.
Find Me is operated by BDC TECH SOLUTIONS. The public product is https://bdc.solutions/findme. Privacy questions: privacy@bdc.solutions. Product questions: findme@bdc.solutions.
Find Me is consented location sharing for families, schools, and trusted groups. Find Me Share is the phone that shares location. Find Me is the phone or web portal used by a parent, family member, or school staff who is allowed to look. We do not hide the system location indicator. We do not use location for advertising, resale, or credit scoring. School presence is a safety board (arrived / not, SOS). It is not official attendance.
From the sharing phone, while sharing is on and the person (or a parent or guardian) has granted location permission: precise location (coordinates, accuracy, time), battery or connectivity hints, a device public key, permission state, SOS events, and a push token when notifications are enabled. From the looking phone and the website: account email, password hash, roles, and the location of people that account is allowed to see — loaded from our servers. The looking phone does not use that phone's GPS. We do not collect contacts, photos, microphone, advertising IDs, or hidden overlay permissions.
Location is used only for live find, history, Home and place arrive/leave alerts, SOS, and school safety operations. We process this data because you (or a parent or guardian) consent, and to run the service you asked for. You may withdraw consent. Withdrawal pauses tracking for that person.
Only people a parent or guardian authorized, plus school staff for that campus under the school’s rules. Platform operators cannot read location unless two distinct admins approve an emergency grant. There is no hidden support login.
Find Me is a family-safety and school-arrival product, not a children’s entertainment app. Neither iPhone app is listed in Apple’s Kids Category. A verifiable adult (parent, guardian, or authorized school staff acting with the school’s authority) must consent before a minor’s location is collected. Do not use Find Me to track someone who has not agreed, or whose parent or guardian has not agreed.
We host the website and API on Hostinger. The database is PostgreSQL on Neon. Push notifications may use Apple Push Notification service and, later, Firebase Cloud Messaging as a relay. Map tiles in the looking app may use Google Maps after a restricted key exists. Those processors must not use Find Me location for their own advertising. Data may be stored outside the Philippines; we still apply this policy and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
Raw location points are kept about 7 days, coarser history up to 90 days, place arrive/leave events up to 1 year, and SOS events up to 3 years, unless a longer period is required for a safety investigation or law. Account, consent, and audit records last longer. A deletion request erases location, devices, and device tokens for that person; backups expire on their backup cycle.
Turn location off in iPhone Settings (sharing stops). Pause sharing where school policy allows. Withdraw consent in the product. Request access, correction, or deletion at privacy@bdc.solutions. The apps cannot add cellular data or change a carrier plan. Under Philippine law you may also contact the National Privacy Commission.
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and role-based access so a family only sees people they are allowed to find. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure. SOS and location are safety tools; they do not replace calling emergency services.
If we change what we use location for, we will post a new version at /privacy and ask for a new consent before those new purposes apply.
